Clementes took down A’s 12-4 on Sunday at West Springfield HS. The Clementes got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jake Marshall singled down the left field line, Hector Lopez Reyes hit a sacrifice fly, and Julio Rivas tripled to center field, each scoring one run.
Chase Preston earned the win for Clementes. The right-handed pitcher surrendered three hits and three runs over two innings, striking out six and walking two.
Jake Whitlinger, Rivas, Marshall, and Bayo Ramirez each collected one hit for Clementes. Lopez Reyes, Rivas, and Marshall each drove in one run for Clementes.
Next up for Clementes is a game at Mallards on Thursday.
