Clementes win the season series with a 12-5 victory on Thursday over the Silver Bullets
Clementes got on the board in the first inning after Mark Theberg singled, scoring three runs.
Clementes extended their early lead with four runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI singles by Cabezon Montes, Theberg, and Jake Marshall.
Leury Gomez earned the win for Clementes. The pitcher surrendered eight hits and four runs (two earned) over eight innings, striking out 14 and walking five. Sam Monser took the loss for Silver Bullets. The pitcher went six innings, surrendering 11 runs (eight earned) on 10 hits, striking out nine and walking eight. Duany Hiciano stepped on the mound first for Clementes. The starter surrendered two hits and one run over one inning, striking out none and walking two.
Clementes tallied 12 hits in the game. Montes, Osvaldo Oquel, and Theberg each collected two hits for Clementes. Theberg led Clementes with four runs batted in. The third baseman went 2-for-5 on the day. Clementes had patience at the plate, accumulating nine walks for the game. Montes and Vince Palmer led the team with two bases on balls each. Clementes turned one double play in the game.
