Clementes right fielder Dylan Heil #9 is heading to the Pecos League after breaking camp with the Bakersfield Train Robbers. Heil has played in eight games this season and was one of the Clementes best bats with a .462 Ave, 1.202 OPS through 26 ABs and stealing 10 bags.
Heil will be starting in Center Field for the Train Robbers as they open their season at home against the Austin Weirdos.
The Clementes are no strangers to Pecos League players with active players Tommy Buckman (Bakersfield-2023) and Jake Marshall (High Desert- 2018) both being veterans of the league. Former Clementes Harold Myles (High Desert- 2018) and Jerry Chavarria (Monterey- 2019) also spent time in the Pecos.
The Bakersfield Train Robbers are a semi-professional baseball team in the Pecos League based out of Bakersfield California. The Pecos League is made up of 16 teams from 8 states including Texas, California, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri. The Train Robbers play out of Sam Lynn Ballpark which used to be the Class-A ballpark for the Dodgers.
